Because it comprises a coastal area with a vibrant fishing community and scenic spots, as well as an inland area with farm culture, Noto Town has the characteristics of both satoumi and satoyama. The Mawaki Ruins, where ancient remains of the Jomon period (14,500 BC to about 300 BC) have been excavated, are a must-see.

This old temple constructed in the Heian period features beautiful seasonal flowers. Its 4,000 hydrangea are particularly well-known.
Koiji Fire Festival is held on this beach, which is located on the beautiful, tranquil inner coastline of the Noto Peninsula.
This is one of the biggest ruins of the Jomon period, where various items had been excavated. National important cultural properties are on exhibit in the Jomon-kan Museum.
